A VPP investment usually involves several distinct investment stages. VPP does not solicit grants. Instead, through rigorous analysis, we identify breakthrough nonprofits with strong, dynamic leaders who have bold goals and the willingness and readiness to transform their organizations to scale their impact in improving the lives of children.

VPP’s investment decisions are the result of a thoughtful process in which the team of in-house professionals conducts extensive analysis to develop investment recommendations. These findings are presented to VPP’s Executive Committee, which makes the final investment decision on behalf of the VPP Board.

We initially support these nonprofit investment partners with funding, executive expertise, and comprehensive business planning sessions to help them clarify their missions, aspirations, and strategic plans.

After completing business planning, we enter into multi-year agreements with these nonprofits, investing large sums of capital over several years. VPP’s funding is not for programs, but is focused on building organizational strength and capacity.

Our team of seasoned executives serve as trusted advisors, offering strategic assistance, including executive and management development, recruiting high-level talent, relationship brokering, opening up new doors for additional funding, and more. Our investment executives meet weekly, and each works almost daily with their nonprofit partners.
