William Gibson is the managing partner of
The Albermarle Group, a privately held investment company.
Prior to that, he served over 15 years as founder, chairman,
and CEO of Manugistics, Inc., until his retirement in February
2001. During his years at Manugistics, he led the organization
from a small startup to a publicly held company with a market
value in excess of $1 billion. Today, the company generates
annual revenues of $300 million, is a recognized leader in
supply chain management solutions and a driving force in the
rapidly evolving business-to-business e-commerce marketplace.
Gibson began his career 35 years ago with IBM and subsequently
served in sales and marketing management roles with various
computer software and services companies. He received a BS
in economics from Villanova University and completed the Harvard
Business School Executive Education program. Gibson sits on
the board of a number of companies, serves as a trustee associate
to Villanova University and directs the Gibson Family Foundation.
