M. Charito Kruvant is founder, president,
and CEO of Creative Associates International, Inc.(CAII),
a professional and technical services firm that specializes
in communities in transition, education, and training. Prior
to launching CAII, she worked with the Advisory and Learning
Exchange as a prominent advocate and program designer for
bilingual education and learning disabled programs. Kruvant's
other current activities include: member of the board of directors
of the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region,
the Greater Washington Board of Trade, the Summit Fund of
Washington, MEDSTAR Healthcare Group, Acacia Federal Savings
Bank, Calvert Group, and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater
Washington; chair of the advisory board of the Small Business
Administration, Washington's District office; executive director
for the Federal City Council; director of the DC Agenda Project
and president of the board of directors of the Society for
International Development (SID)-Washington Chapter. She is
also a former member of the Emergency Educational Transitional
board of trustees of the District of Columbia Public Schools.
Born in Bolivia and raised in Argentina, Kruvant received
her bachelor of arts from Colegio Ward in Argentina, and her
master of arts in early childhood development from the University
of Maryland. She is a long-time resident of Washington, DC.
