Julie L. Rogers is president of the Meyer Foundation, which awards over $6 million annually to Washington, DC metropolitan area nonprofit organizations that are working to build healthy communities through health, education, neighborhood development, justice, and arts programs. Rogers has led the Meyer Foundation for sixteen years. She was the founding chair (1992-1995) of Washington Grantmakers and continues to serve on its board. She serves on the board of Venture Philanthropy Partners, the DC College Access Program, the advisory committee of the DC Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), the board of the Langley School in McLean, Virginia, and she is a member of the Washington Women’s Forum. She has been named one of Washington DC’s “Forward Forty” by Business Forward for the last two years. Rogers is a leader in national philanthropic organizations: she serves on the boards of the Council on Foundations and the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers.
