Accepting Nominees for the 2018 Greater Washington Superstar Award
Measurably Improving the Lives of Children & Youth
UPDATE: The deadline for nominations has been extended to October 19, 2018.
Creating positive systemic change for vulnerable youth in Greater Washington starts with the people who directly build relationships with our region’s young people. To provide young people with the tools, resources and skills they need to graduate from high school ready for career and college, direct service staff must tailor their strategies to help youth overcome obstacles.
We believe that measurably improving the lives of children and youth means using data effectively to understand our young people and build relationships that guide them onto a path for success. That’s why Venture Philanthropy Partners is partnering with the Superstar Foundation to co-host the Superstar Award for 2018 to reward the best direct service staff who demonstrate an exceptional commitment in the use of data to help young people in our region.
As part of our commitment to recognize individuals who use data to improve programming, we will award an outstanding nominee in the Greater Washington area $5,000 and submit them as a finalist for the Superstar Foundation’s Veronica Award.
