http://www.touchdc.org/volunteer
Touch DC is an online giving site developed by a coalition of nonprofit and philanthropic organizations in the National Capital Region, including VPP. USA Freedom Corps
http://www.usafreedomcorps.gov/
The USA Freedom Corps is a coordinating council housed at the White House and chaired by President George W. Bush that works to strengthen our culture of service and help find opportunities for every American to start volunteering. The USA Freedom Corps website has a searchable database of national volunteer opportunities. This database is powered by Network for Good, one of the members of the USA Freedom Network, along with America's Promise, Idealist, the Points of Light Foundation, The United Way, VolunteerMatch, National Mentoring Partnership, and SERVEnet, each of which represent thousands of organizations using volunteer services to meet important community needs.
