Pandit Wright
President & CEO

Pandit Wright is an accomplished executive whose career has included senior positions in companies such as Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, Discovery Communications, the number one nonfiction company in the world; premiere investment banking firm, Salomon Smith Barney; INCO (International Nickel Company) and Aetna Life and Casualty

Ms. Wright joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington as the Interim President & CEO in April 2008 and was named President & CEO effective July 1, 2009. She is a former Board Member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and served as Chair of their Program Delivery Study Task Force, Chair of the HR Committee, Communications Liaison and a member of the Restructure Committee. She is former Chair of the Visual Arts Initiative Committee of the Board’s Women’s Leadership Group (WLG).

At Discovery, Ms. Wright was Senior Executive Vice President, human resources and administration, where she was responsible for the company’s nationally recognized LifeWorks@Discovery initiative, one of the primary reasons the company has been named one of the Fortune 100 Top Companies to Work For. She was a member of Discovery’s Executive Committee and was actively involved in negotiating, designing, building and disposing of over 2 million square feet of office space around the world, including the award winning headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland, and head offices in London and Singapore.

Ms. Wright’s 12 years with Discovery also included an assignment in Singapore as the Interim General Manager for Discovery Networks Asia, and supervision of the Discovery Channel Global Education Partnership, a public non-profit that donated educational technology and instructional support to under-resourced schools and communities around the world, with a focus on Africa.

After leaving Discovery in 2007, Ms. Wright began a partnership with Family and Child Services of DC (now Family Matters of Washington DC) to implement SATURDAY SPA, a program for women who are foster and daycare providers with the Agency.

During her 14 year tenure with Salomon, Ms. Wright first developed her love of travel and international business. She held roles of progressive responsibility that began in NYC, then moved to London, England for 4 years as Vice President of Employment, and ended in 1995 as HR and Administration Team Coach in Tampa, Florida.

Ms. Wright is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and completed graduate coursework in Organizational Management at the New School in New York City.

Martin Alloy
Board Chair
Martin K. Alloy founded Stanley Martin Companies, the largest private homebuilder in the Washington Metropolitan Area. He is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association. Though Chairman of Stanley Martin, he is devoting much of his time in areas concerning the arts and especially helping the poorest children in the Washington area receive theatre and music training in conjunction with The Kennedy Center and The Helen Hays Foundation for children attending the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington. After graduating Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania he became a CPA while training at Price Waterhouse & Co. in New York City. He started the homebuilding and related businesses in the late 60’s. He has three children and eight grandchildren.
